Terms of Service — ACCENT

The game

ACCENT is a language guessing game developed and operated by Leafwind Studios Ltd (United Kingdom). Players hear audio clips of human voices and guess which country or region the accent is from. The game includes optional paid content, available through two access passes — the DAY PASS (a one-time 24-hour unlock) and the ACCENTLE PASS (a monthly subscription) — plus a small number of one-time purchases.

Acceptance

By playing ACCENT — whether on the web at accentle.com or through a native iOS or Android app — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the game.

Offer and email sign-ups — venue offers, Accentle offers, nearby-venue offers, and account email — are for players aged 18 or over.

What you're buying

ACCENT sells two different kinds of thing. They work differently and this section exists so you always know which one you're getting before you pay.

One-time purchases — yours to keep

Anything you bought outright in the past — voice packs, collections, individual games — stays unlocked permanently. Once bought, that content stays unlocked on your device or account key for as long as ACCENT exists — it does not expire, and it is not tied to an active subscription. Today's one-time purchases are Streak Insurance, tip jar payments, and gift codes. Streak Insurance is a consumable: it is spent when it protects a missed day, and it is non-refundable once spent. Tip jar payments (Beer Tip and general tips) are voluntary and carry no content unlock of their own.

The passes — access while active

The DAY PASS is a one-time purchase that unlocks the whole accentle.com catalog for 24 hours from the moment you buy it. It is not a subscription, nothing renews, and when the 24 hours end the access ends.

The ACCENTLE PASS is a recurring monthly subscription. While it's active, it unlocks the same whole catalog, plus each month's new drop. It renews automatically each month until you cancel.

The passes unlock the games; in-game items are sold separately. Streak Insurance, tip jar payments, gift codes, QUARTERLY's Premium Seat, and TALLY Premium are not included in either pass — each is bought on its own, as listed here and inside the games themselves.

Acceptable use

You may use ACCENT for personal, non-commercial entertainment. You may not:

Purchases & payment

Web purchases and both passes are processed by Stripe. iOS purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's standard App Store refund policy — contact Apple support to request a refund. Android purchases are processed by Google and subject to Google Play's refund policy.

We reserve the right to discontinue content. If something you purchased outright is removed, we will make reasonable efforts to provide equivalent access or a refund.

Gift codes. Buying a gift gives you a single-use code, not a subscription. Whoever redeems it gets 31 days of the pass, and their 31 days start the day they redeem it — the code itself never expires. Anyone holding the code can redeem it, so treat it like cash and send it to one person. An unredeemed code can be refunded to the buyer; once it has been redeemed it cannot be, and we will not shorten the recipient's access to claw it back.

Refunds & support

All web sales are final by default. Refunds for documented technical failures — a purchase that didn't unlock, a pass charge after you cancelled, a duplicate charge — are granted at our discretion. Tip jar payments are non-refundable.

We don't run a support inbox. If something's wrong with a purchase, tell us on Discord and we'll sort it out: discord.gg/NJdZCqsJty

Intellectual property

All game content — including audio clips, design, code, and branding — is owned by Leafwind Studios Ltd. Audio clips of natural language speakers used in the Standard pack are licensed from public domain sources. ElevenLabs-generated audio (paid packs) is used under ElevenLabs' commercial license. You do not acquire any ownership rights by purchasing content.

Disclaimer of warranties

ACCENT is provided "as is." We don't promise it'll be up every minute, bug-free, or perfectly compatible with every device — we work to keep it running well, but you use it at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Leafwind Studios Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of ACCENT. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the game shall not exceed the amount you paid for the content at issue in the preceding 12 months.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the game after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
